Day 3 Filicudi and Alicudi
After breakfast leave for a sightseeing boat tour of Filicudi and Alicudi Islands. Today you will enjoy a wonderful experience visiting the Grotta del Bue Marino. In Alicudi have lunch at a fisherman house with fish daily fished. Then board your ferry back to Filicudi and enjoy some time at leisure. Independent dinner at a local restaurant and then return to your hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4 Filicudi – Lipari
After breakfast in hotel, you will start your full day guided excursion in Filicudi. You will move toward the prehistoric village of Capo Graziano and visit the Museum of Filicudi. Then enjoy a home restaurant lunch accompanied by traditional music. In the afternoon take the ferry to Lipari and transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight Lipari.
Day 5 Lipari – Vulcano
After breakfast in hotel, depart for a 2-hour tour of Lipari by minivan. Before lunch you will also visit the Archaeological Museum of Lipari and, in the early afternoon, you will do a guided walking tour of the historical centre of the town with its castle and cathedral. Then enjoy a private boat tour at sunset while tasting an aperitivo. Later you will pass the channel between Vulcano and Lipari and see the Grotto of the Horse. Once disembarked, have independent dinner and evening at leisure. Then return to your hotel and overnight.
Day 6 Lipari – Stromboli
After breakfast in hotel, take the ferry to Stromboli. Meet your local guide and start a sightseeing tour of the island by a three wheeler car. At the north end of the island is the Punta Labronzo observatory, a strategic location to watch the volcano eruptions and possible lava flows down the Sciara del Fuoco (literally “stream of fire”, the blackened lava scar running down Stromboli’s northern flank). You will also have a chance to visit the house of two icons in the cinema history: Roberto Rossellini and Ingrid Bergman. After that enjoy a night tour of Stromboli volcano by boat. The boat trip will take you to see Stromboli volcano from the sea and to admire its volcanic eruptions. Later you will also enjoy a special dinner called “maccheronata”. After dinner transfer to your hotel and overnight.
Day 7 Stromboli – Catania
After breakfast in hotel, take the ferry to Milazzo in Sicily. Once disembarked, transfer to Catania. Lunch at a local restaurant and time at leisure to visit the city and to do some shopping in its handicraft shops. Dinner at the hotel and overnight.
Day 8 Departure
